Nathan Harwood was named executive vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for Bell in June 2023. He is a member of the Bell Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Nathan is responsible for developing and executing a high-performance information technology (IT) and digital strategy, ensuring business systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity and development capabilities are aligned for the needs of the business today and in the future.

From January 2020 to June 2023, Nathan was vice president and CIO for Textron Systems and a member of the Textron Systems ELT. Prior to joining Textron Systems, he served as executive director, Corporate Systems & IT Strategy, TIS, at Textron Inc.

Prior to that, Nathan was vice president and general manager of the Textron Tools & Test mechanical business unit, where he led sales, marketing, service, engineering, product management and operations to penetrate and grow market share by developing new products to serve plumbing, HVAC and industrial contractors. His other positions included vice president and CIO of Textron Tools & Test, as well as director for SAP at Textron Aviation.

Before starting his career with Textron, Nathan worked for Nissan North America as IT director – applications. He also held various IT management positions with Nissan North America and Ford Motor Company.

Nathan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
